All courses can be tailored to suit a group's age range, ability and catered to work with the National Curriculum.
Course Length
The current course is run for local students who will benefit from learning outside of a traditional classroom environment. This course runs for one day a week for 14 weeks.
Roundhouse Build
(Curriculum Enrichment)

A curriculum enrichment programme open to secondary school groups. I will be taking students to the site in groups of around 10. Together we will be building the structures from the ground up. The students will be involved in all aspects of the build, using hand tools and practical skills. They will learn valuable life skills not necessarily offered in a classroom environment.
This 14 week ROUNDHOUSE BUILDING COURSE will cover:

Working in teams and problem solving skills.

Applied Geometry and Maths in a work environment.

Basic tree identification and the properties of the material.

The appropriate timber selection for the building.

Safe use of handtools

How to construct the henge and a reciprocal roof structure.
All our courses are run by George, a stage 3 Forest School Instructor, with 15+ years experience in the environmental sector and over 7 years working with school groups.
